LICENSING, Westland - Ameristar Auto Outfitters (AAO) has built their auto glass service on one simple statement, “Auto Glass Done Right”. AAO supports the new Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standards (AGRSS™) safety standards benchmark and is moving swiftly to ensure 100% implementation and documentation on every auto glass installation at their centers.

AGRSS is a not-for-profit organization, which like AAO, is dedicated to the safe replacement of auto glass. Bob Blackmer (President of AAO) explains, “Presently in the race to the lowest price market, many companies installing auto glass have compromised AGR “best practices” which has led to devastating injuries in many vehicle crashes. Sadly, many consumers choosing (replacement auto glass) solely on the basis of price, end up losing essential security features on their vehicles--without even realizing it. Maintaining the safety and the structural integrity of the vehicle is job one at AAO.”

According to the AGRSS web site, “AGRSS was founded and supported by companies in the auto glass replacement industry that keep safe installation as their primary goal.” AGRSS works towards this goal by the development / maintenance of replacement standards, educating the industry and overall promotion of the AGRSS safety standard.
